Antítese Amazônida is a short video combining images that shows the relationship of the Amazonian people with the waters and everything connected to it: the way people adapt to the cycle of flood and drought; the rivers, creeks and lakes as natural ways of transportation; the importance of fishing.
The photographs, by photographer Raphael Alves, in the video are parts of other projects (such as Riversick, and When the Waters) that have been carried on since 2008. The video was edited by the photographer Raphael Alves and the journalist Rafael Valentim. Both have worked together in various opportunities.
The video brings Enfieira, a song written by Rui de Carvalho (musician, poet and artist), that illustrates how important fishing and waters are to the Amazonian people.
