About Leonardo Carrato
Leonardo Carrato had been prepared for an executive career. Graduated in Business Administration, with a Masters in Logistics and Economics, he worked for years in multinational companies. In the middle of 2012, he left everything for a journey driven by his biggest passion: photography.
Moved by the sense of transformation and Latin America’s revolutionary energy, Leonardo is in search of a reality with more social equality. His eye is mostly oriented towards projects that can make a change, where the stories told by the images are able to go further the contemplation and emotion. Leonardo travelled to Reconcavo Baiano, breathed the pure air of the Andes mountains, walked on wrecks of abandoned buildings and floated on amazon waters. An immersion in social reality. An inspiration into the deep Latin America’s roots.
His work has been published by the main Brazilian’s media, such as O Globo and Folha de Sao Paulo. Also he has exhibited in galleries, street walls and public spaces all around the continent. Recently he won a scholarship to study with one of the Masters of Photography, Ernesto Bazan.
