A place, a building, a duration of time; we reach there at a fixed time; children reach to their classes, the building transforms into a noisy structure. In the afternoon, the last bell rings for the day; in a few minutes the whole building becomes silent. There’s extreme silence...a void in your ears. Year after year, round and round, it goes on; children grow up, they leave the school, new batches with new faces come.
Every day, I have captured snapshots from this real moving world; the final outcome of which is taking that condition as a frozen experience. Playing these images through kinetic structures, where moving lenses create a slippery zone, so that the image produces many more different conditions of the same image on the screen.
In the work there is an attempt to connect with one’s ‘memory image’ and its experience through remembering and erasing with a prolonged visual situation
