The spectator seated inside a moving bus witnesses nature with all its beauty , heading towards a destination . There is serene greenery around, with traffic at few places denoting human presence. One almost gets carried away in this journey when with a turn there is a halt which changes everything . One encounters shots of a concrete city wherever one looks. There are concrete man made structure sare everywhere .There is no escape from them. They stand as hindrances all around. These however magnificent, ,obstruct the journey leaving one stranded in between them . This makes it impossible to continue, think or even feel the natural ambience one has come through.
The artist shows that the presence of the concrete jungles around us has matured so much that we could be fast approaching a halt in thinking of growing further.
The work is a journey of ecological development of mankind to an overgrown civilization .
The existence of dense man made habitats can leave us with no road to take or continue towards the journey of development as it has virtually gone beyond our control and is almost ready to even chock us.

The artist believes that no stone has been left unturned by the human race ever since we started creating. We have successfully managed to use our cultural as well as technical knowledge along with positive energies to construct the unthinkable . Through this video she further goes on to explore the possibilities to which human mind can extend their creative energies in order to build, not only the living structures on the face of it, but beliefs and inspirations as well. She finds a way to express that though we seem to have reached our zenith in many ways, the human mind is such that we can express our ingenuity, when the time asks for it.

The video is a single channel video.
It is a single building breathing, taking our attention towards the spaces we live in and create. The building is alive and breathing just like us. It might be standing mute for some but it carries vibrations which we usually are ignorant of.

WE ARE GOING GREEN
WE ARE GOING GREEN
Single channel video
9 min duration 2012
‘WE ARE GOING GREEN is the artist’s take on “the green wash idea”, which has become a buss of our environmentally aware societies all over the world. Earlier natural resources were brought down or used only when it was essential ,but slowly we started exploiting our resources endlessly and our greed took over our need . We have spread our urbanization claws to the extent that it has started harming us.
Now on realizing that we have gone too far with the term “urbanization” some do want to return. This idea of return is a mare ‘green wash’ to make individuals take pride in thinking that they are concerned . The so called ‘u turn’ is at a very slow level and thus seems superficial.
