Robert Dickes is a seasoned artist and educator. He has ten years experience as a commercial photographer in South Florida, working with clients like Boston Proper, Marshal Fields, Ocean Drive Magazine and Harley Davidson, as well as eleven years teaching both high school and college photography course. He holds a BFA from Rochester Institute of Technology, a BA in Education, and a MFA in Studio Art from the university of Kentucky.
He currently is a Lecturer of Art at the University of Kentucky leading a new program in photography for the general education initiative. He has taught a variety of classes in photography from Basic Darkroom to Advanced Studio Lighting. He is currently interested in teaching classes that will challenge traditional perspectives of photography and introduce people to new conceptual ways of seeing and thinking as well as methods to introducing more practical insights into the photography world.
