GETTING READY
This may be your first online learning experience. It is different from a face-to-face workshop. You will find that you are more involved and engaged in an online experience. It may take a little time and practice using your computer in new ways and using new applications. You have to give yourself time to settle in. If you have any questions please ask your instructor or email the VASA Project Help Desk (helpdesk@vasa-project.com).
All workshops are designed for Macintosh (OSX) and Windows platforms. Platforms will be noted in the workshop description.
Most production workshops introduce you to applications you can use and save on your own computer. In this way you are able to keep working from your own computer after the workshop has ended.
To introduce you to various applications and networks on the internet, workshops will use what is termed the "Cloud", a collection of online resources and applications. In some workshops you will download and use demonstration software (demonstration software usually times out after 30 days).
Prior to your workshop, please also read our Guide for Online Learning and Setting Up Your Environment.
